Blogosphere

The British Blogger Top 10 (now decommissioned) revealed some nooks and crannies, or rather plains and expanses, of blog client behaviour of which a dilettante has little awareness. Whatever the pluses and minuses, conversion algorithms or fudge factors applied to the hit counts constituting the rankings, these gave a gross (and I mean gross) picture of blog-related activity. 'Biased BBC ' introduces me to a new world which puts even Harry's Hellhole in the shade. And the Jerry Springer:The Opera faction require very close watching.

Furthermore, I have little feel for how blog and overlapping website hitrates compare and contrast. After a period in the last century when economics/science overtook religion as a dominant cultural/political theme, international relations are again preoccupied at least superficially by tensions between theocracy and democracy. Democracy is an admirable intent until you get up close and see its multiple models dependent on the level and method of organisation applied.
