Apologies in advance to the Thompson family for this, but they really did deserve better from The Doctor. While not usually moralistic or judgmental, HSJ's behaviour appals me. Sau's early reports that HSJ shot himself while on the phone to his younger wife have been verified, and further that his son, daughter-in-law and child were in the house at the time too. Wife gave a heartfelt defense of him here- obviously adored him, as did his son. But HSJ was a selfish old goat to go out like that.
